There's A Place For You

At First United Methodist Church, we have classes and small groups for kids, youth, and adults all week long.


 Saturday Night / Sunday Morning Groups (Pre-K through 6th)

Our Saturday Night and Sunday Morning Children's group provide a Large Group and Small Group experience for all.   We use our own curriculum that follows the sermon series topics from worship along with a variety of Bible-based learning activities. Come and check-it out!

Adult Small Groups on Sunday Mornings

Sermon Discussion
Pastor Joel leads the adult group that meets in the Chapel at 9:00 a.m.  Each week we discuss the current sermon series topic that is being presented in worship. This allows in depth discussion of the topic in our class. Please join us.

Adult Bible Study on the Book of Acts
In the Church Library on Sunday mornings @ 9:00 a.m Don Fox leads a study of the Parables.


Other Opportunities During the Week:

Lectionary Bible Study
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room.
Group members take turns leading a discussion of the coming week's Lectionary Readings.
Join us any week or every week.

Back Room Boys
This inter-generational Men's group meets every Saturday (and we mean every Saturday) at 7:00 a.m. in the Conference Room for fellowship, coffee, rolls and Bible Study.  Join us this week for a great start to your Saturday!

Film Study

Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room, once a month on the last Thursday of the month. This is a group study of various world issues.  Christian topics, church issues, Bible Studies done through film, health issues, etc. The films used for study are acquired from the Dakota’s Area Resource Library in Mitchell.  If you have any questions, please call the church office or Diane Veen at 886-3250 or 881-22456.

Special or Short-term Studies
From time to time, we create new small groups as a part of a Seasonal or Sermon-series group.
These studies often take place during Advent and Lent.
